This Communications Data For Analysts & Investigators course, follows on from the initial analysis courses. It promotes an understanding of analysis processes and techniques in relation to ‘Communications Data’. The course includes charting methods and hypothesis development.

This law enforcement analyst training course looks at various forms of Communications Data, its origins and how it can be of use by law enforcement agencies to progress investigations. It gives the analyst or investigator an understanding of various forms of data, ways in which it can be analysed, and turned into actionable intelligence.

Course aim

The aim of this course is to enable students to be able to understand the value of communications data, identify communication patterns and to produce actionable inferences.

Duration of this course

This course consists of a 11 modules and is expected to take between 30 and 40 hours to complete, access is authorised for 3 months. Prerequisites
In order to complete this course, you must be able to use a computer keyboard, be familiar with using a mouse, navigate the internet to a basic level, open and close files on your computer and save and retrieve documents on your computer.


Assessment & certification
There are 11 Modules in this course; each is made up of a number of Chapters. You must complete each chapter satisfactorily in order to move on to the next chapter.

A module is completed when you have completed all the course chapters and achieved an overall course mark of 60% or more (which is a basic pass)

Our courses have two forms of assessment, Continual Trainer Assessment and Graded Assessment. To be awarded course credit, and obtain an end of course certificate with regards to Graded Assessment, you must achieve an overall pass grade (60% or more) and complete all modules of the course.
