The course assumes that you are familiar with Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 2000, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and you have a functioning copy of Xanalys Link Explorer 6.3.

Course aim

This online course guides you through the basics of operation, updating and queries, it is a prelude to the more advanced Xanalys Analysis course.

How is the course presented?

The course is delivered online, having registered the student will require to create their profile on our on-line site.

Computer requirements
In order to complete this online crime analysis training course, you will need to have regular access to a computer which meets the following minimum specification. Most computers purchased in last few years will far exceed these requirements:
  • Microsoft Windows XP (or higher) with latest updates installed or Mac OS 9.x or OS 10.1.x
  • Firefox 50.1+, Internet Explorer 7.0+, or Safari 1.0+
  • An internet connection – broadband preferred
  • Access to an email address is also required
  • A screen display with at least 800x600 pixels resolution
  • Compatible sound card and speakers (or headset)

Required Software:-
  • Operating system: Recent Windows or Mac OS
  • Adobe Reader (if you don't have this then you can get it FREE here)
  • Microsoft Office (alternatively, you could use the Free program - Open Office)
  • Flash Player 9 or above (Free program)

In order to complete this course, you must be able to use a computer keyboard, be familiar with using a mouse, navigate the internet to a basic level, open and close files on your computer and save and retrieve documents on your computer.

Assessment & certification
There are 9 Modules in this course; each is made up of a number of Chapters. You must complete each chapter satisfactorily in order to move on to the next chapter.

A module is completed when you have completed all the course chapters and achieved an overall course mark of 60% on the assessment or more (which is a basic pass)

Our courses have two forms of assessment, Continual Trainer Assessment and Graded Assessment. To be awarded course credit, and obtain an end of course certificate with regards to Graded Assessment, you must achieve an overall pass grade (60% or more) and complete all modules of the course.
