Advice and Online Guidelines
You will not use inappropriate language
Inappropriate language (or behaviour) will not be tolerated. Any derogatory or inappropriate comments will be subject to disciplinary action and your account will be suspended, pending investigation, which could lead to withdrawal of the service. No refunds will be made if your account is terminated for misuse. Any offensive or abusive postings will be removed from discussion areas. If you come across any inappropriate postings, then please report them to your Tutor who will take appropriate action. Be aware that postings are closely monitored by moderators.
Please check & think before you send a message
Before you ‘post’ any comments or send any material on the site (including email) please check through what you have written. Does it say what you meant it to say – and how will the person who receives it interpret what you say? This is important because no one can see your expression as you send messages. It may be that you intended the message in a light-hearted manner – but we can’t see your smile – so please be careful.
Please ask questions!
If you don’t understand something or want any clarification, then simply ask your Tutor. Tutors will always reply to your messages. If you want help, then you can be sure that others are having similar problems but if no one asks the question then understanding can be difficult. So, don’t be afraid to ask a question – either in the forums or privately to your Tutor.
Keep your messages as short as you can – and keep to the point
When you compose a message try to express your thoughts concisely. Obviously, you will need to explain your point or question, but if you write long messages it makes it more difficult for anyone to answer your question.
10. Liability
We shall not be liable to you for any of the following types of loss or damage arising out of, or in connection with, your use of our website or services:-
- any loss of profits or earnings or savings or revenue; or
- any loss or corruption of any data whatsoever; or
- any indirect or consequential loss whatsoever.

We promise to use all reasonable care and attention in the preparation and supply of services and materials.

There may however be occasions when access to the Website is interrupted for unavoidable maintenance. Access may also be interrupted at any time due to failures of telecommunications links and equipment which are beyond our control.
Please note that we make no commitment to you that the content of our services will meet any specific requirements that you have (except to the extent that your requirements match the course description which is shown on the Website) and you are expected to take reasonable care to check that the course meets your personal requirements. We also make no commitment that you will obtain any particular qualification from the course module except that specifically stated in the course description material on the Website.
All representations, warranties and/or terms and/or commitments not expressly set out in these Terms (whether implied by law, conduct, statute or otherwise) are hereby excluded to the maximum extent permissible at law.
12. Payment of course fees
We accept payment by Credit or Debit Card and PayPal (American Express is not accepted).
You agree to pay us the published course fee, using a secure on-line payment site, in advance of the supply of any course material.
Organisations may pay the balance by cheque or money transfer. Organisations may book courses quoting a purchase order number – fees are due immediately.
We reserve the right to alter the cost of any Course. The current Course Fee for each course module is shown on the Website. In the unlikely event that the Course Fee is shown incorrectly, we will notify you as soon as we reasonably can. You will then be entitled to choose between receiving a full refund of the amount you have already paid to us (in which case you will not be eligible to complete the module) or to pay the balance of the Fee to us, or we will refund any excess.
Whilst payment is outstanding, access to all material will be suspended.
13. Your Right to Use the Course Materials and your Related Obligations
When you pay us a course fee, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license which allows you to use the materials as learning material for personal non-commercial home or work use only. This material may be viewed, saved and printed for your personal use only. You may not make any copies of any of the material supplied to you in video or audio format.
Except as stated here, you can not modify, copy, reproduce, re-publish, upload, post, transmit or distribute in any way whatsoever, any of the Course Materials. You must not share the material with any other party whatsoever.
